Truly, truly I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies it bears much fruit." John 12:24 (NASB)
Jesus said he had to go or the
Holy Spirit could not come. In His human form Jesus
couldn't be everywhere at once. He passed the baton,
blessed and released and the unlikely people he breathed on
and gave the job to ended up turning the world upside down.
The Agape Force we were called to and served in is no more,
but every day we see that the people who served with us
have gone on to continue the work and do incredible things,
branching out into areas we often hoped to work in.
In trying to keep up with AF alumni around the country and
around the world I find many are serving in or have founded
other ministries. Many times the CORE calling of AF is
still being played out in one facet or another through
these ministries and in the lives of our old friends and
the lives of those they are mentoring and ministering to.
It lives on.
As we find ministry web sites that talk about the work of
AF alumni we will add them. Pray for them. Support them.
Get in touch with them. They are still a part of us and we
a part of them.
Some AF alum are doing work that cannot, for their safety,
be posted on the internet, but as we are able we will focus
on all those that can.
Even though a place is not really an alumni, I'm going to
link to the Mercy Ships site first of all. So many of us
put our sweat and tears into the base now used for God by
that ministry. There were miraculous links to Mercy Ships
even from the "iron floats" reference at the dedication to
the wonderful, miraculous things that God did to get the
property back into ministry hands. We are still connected
in a way and God has honored the work of your hands by
continuing to use it for Himself.
I hope you see, through all these pages, that ends are
really just more beginnings. What we do for God is never
wasted.
There are other alumni in ministry who don't have web sites
I can easily link to. Some who are doing things that make
it unwise to put them on the net. Others who are
ministering in ways that the world and the church don't
necessarily define as ministry. But God knows differently
and so do we. I hope these resources warm you with the
knowledge that our core callings are still being followed
and that God is not going to be stopped and is not finished
with you. Not by a long shot.
