After my time in AF I
worked as a mechanic, machinist, motel manager,
sales, and now a bus driver. I got married,
have a daughter, a son in law, and two grand
kids. We get to babysit almost every weekend,
it's a blast. In April of 2004 we thought we
were planting a church but it has really turned into
a "home ministry". We specialize in the
presence of God, and feel a call to the more whacky
end of things like healing, prophetic stuff,
deliverance, etc. I have a burden to see more
of the power of God outside of the four
walls of the church. I go to the local new age
hangout and try to get to know them a little. I
have done some prophetic equipping in churches, I
wonder if they would be open to a class about Jesus
actually communicating with us. I did a new age
prophecy thing 10 years ago and it went well.
Maybe when the time is right I will hit them
up. It will be fun.
Right now we are in the middle of doing once a month worship at a local casino. The meetings are just unrestricted worship and an open mic, kind of a Toronto Blessing/renewal flavor. We have different worship teams every month from different churches. These are good meetings, just soaking and worshiping in the real heavy duty presence of God. I hope we make friends with some of the folks who work at the casino. That would be awesome.
I also practice hearing God's voice on the city bus. It is kind of hard because I have to pay attention to my job and hear God at the same time but sometimes it works. Like I said, whacky stuff, but fun.
My wife is a hard core intercessor. She works as a secretary at a hospital.
I still keep in touch with Mike and Jackie Larkin. They are coming up to visit us in Aug. I also kept in touch with Mark and Marrissa Olson, but for some reason not so much since Mark passed on.
