Lost My Hard Drive
04/07/07 14:52
Just a few
days after Winkie fell ill on the way to Korea (see
the blog on www.winkiepratney.com for details) I lost
my hard drive. I don't think I lost much actual data,
but getting everything set up again in the midst of
all that has been going on with Winkie and my job at
Mercy Ships has been a real challenge. I think I'm
back on track again as far as my ability to work in
the site....after a couple of months hiatus
So, if you thought I had given up
on this - nope....just got waylaid for a while.
Not many changes today. I took down the Alumni
Registration page because it isn't working - and
probably hasn't been working for a while. We'll
keep on entering folks into my AF contacts data,
but must apologize if you thought you had
registered and never heard back. Well, that's it
for now. Need to see if I can upload a few pages
here.

Embarrassed
15/03/07 07:13
I can't believe
it's really been so long since I've been able to do
anything on the site here. It's embarrassing. More
than that it's sad for me because I really want to
work on it all the time. Good things are happening,
but life is just way too busy right now. I added a
little something from Tales of Agape today. Didn't
take much to get my juices going. I've been
struggling a little bit with some photos. Actually
did quite a bit of photo work, but never got them
uploaded because I did something to them that has
made them incompatible with my iPhoto. When I get
just a little more time, I'll see if I can do a work
around.
Dick Lane recently sent me MP3s of both "To The Chief Musician" albums and "Candle On The Street". I'm looking forward to being able to put those things up. It would be nice if we could download those directly from the site, but I don't think that would be wise until we can set up the private pages for alumni. Too many copyright issues. However, I think we probably can put them up in Quicktime so anyone can listen. That said, I think both Dick and I would be willing to burn archival copies of these albums to CD for any alum who really wants one.
Blessings on your days
