It’s really important to understand how average, how normal, how flawed and human we were. We were just regular kids. In many, many cases we were young men and women who had daunting problems to overcome. The bottom of the barrel.

If you think God can’t use you because you're nothing special, think again. He delights in using those who seem unqualified or unable for some reason to meet the challenge of His call to service.

He sees things in us that we cannot. He can find that thing in you that He can use. You’ve probably heard the scripture

“many are called, but few are chosen”, Matt 22:14.



In that passage Jesus is telling a story of a wedding feast. Invitations were sent, but the ones thought worthy didn’t show up. So the kings servants were sent out into the countryside and gathered up others - the bottom of the barrel - and He went out of his way to provide everything they needed to be worthy to attend.

Many have been called, but few have answered the call. If you come, never mind the handicap, God will make you ready. He will give you everything you need.
